Organised in support of Singapore’s Year of Climate Action, the campaign embodies the essence of green buildings and the importance of these buildings in our day-to-day activities. The campaign is advertised on public buses, signifying that living, working and playing in green buildings can – and should – be as normal and easy as taking the bus.
Founded in October 2009, the Singapore Green Building Council is a non-governmental organisation whose mission is to propel Singapore’s building and construction industry towards environmental sustainability.
Buildings are an integral part of the fabric of society as well as a key pillar of Singapore’s climate strategy. We also spend more than 90% of our time inside buildings: we live in a building, we go to another building for work and we partake in recreational activities in or near the vicinity of other buildings. Therefore, the buildings we live in must be buildings we can live with.
