The Energy Saving Challenge was launched at Northpoint City on 5 May. The challenge is a call to households to practise simple energy-saving habits as a way of life to reduce their electricity consumption and contribute to a sustainable environment.
Under this Challenge, participants who reduce their electricity use by one per cent or more for the Challenge Period could stand to win prizes worth more than $60,000 in total.
Last year’s challenge saw a total of 330,000 kWh of electricity saved – enough to power 1,000 three-room flats for more than a month.
It is as simple as switching off your appliances after use, setting your air-conditioner to 25°C, and choosing energy efficient appliances. These simple habits can help you lower your utility bills, and contribute to climate action.
Sign up for the challenge at env.sg/esc18 today! Together, we can do our part for climate action.
