It’s been an exciting January for us, with the launch of the Year of Climate Action. And #ICYMI, here’s a quick round up of climate action mentions in the news and on social media.
#1: PM Lee’s Facebook shoutout
Super thrilled to have Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong share our climate action video on his Facebook page:
2018 is Singapore’s Year of Climate Action. Climate change is a very real worry for us. By the end of the century, Singapore could see temperatures rise 1 to 4(!) degrees, higher sea levels, and more. We have to act now.
The Government is doing its part to tackle climate change, but it cannot act alone. Everyone can make a difference – whether by bringing your own bag for groceries, or setting your aircon slightly warmer. Small changes to our daily habits will help.
The Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) has a useful list of suggestions on how we can adjust our routine here: https://www.mewr.gov.sg/climateaction
